The animated logo
In mid 2020 I took over as chair of the Scottish Animation Network. The network had seen better days and was lacking in a community spirit it very much needed. As part of my efforts to revitalise the community I gave the logo a fresh lick of paint.
I wanted to create a logo that embodied both animation and Scotland. The old logo for the Scottish Animation Network lacked any interest at all and was a simple wordmark that didn't represent animation or Scotland.
The new mark is a recognisable hidden element logo of two keyframes crossing to create the Scottish flag. Its colour pallet is obviously blue and white for Scotland
When I animated it I opted for a quick movement in, with an almost echo like effect on the rolling ball to create the logo at the end.
